Getting Started with Galaxy APIs
Welcome to the Galaxy API Developer Portal. This section provides a recommended path from onboarding to production-ready integration.
Overview
Galaxy APIs provide programmatic access to institutional services including trading, custody, lending, staking, onchain activities, and related workflows.
API Families and Personas
Galaxy has different API families that are used for different personas. Before implementation, identify which API family matches your needs.
| API Family | Primary Personas | Typical Goals |
|---|---|---|
| OTC Trading APIs | Over the Counter Trading for Liquidity providers, market makers, hedge funds, systematic trading | Institutional OTC execution with warehouse-style liquidity access and market impact controls |
| Prime Services APIs | Prime brokerage/platform teams, enterprise treasury, asset managers | Unified access to trading, custody, lending, and staking services through one institutional API surface |
| Staking Infrastructure APIs | Custodians, exchanges, wallet platforms, fintech product teams | Programmatic staking operations, lifecycle management, and rewards reporting |
| Onchain Execution Service APIs | DeFi infrastructure teams, validators, high-throughput trading platforms | Low-latency Solana transaction propagation and routing for performance-sensitive onchain workflows |
